APEX 2X Taq Master Mix for 500 Reactions

Apex Taq Master Mix Clear is a ready-to-use 2.0x reaction mix that contains Apex Taq DNA Polymerase, an optimized buffer system, Apex ultra pure dNTPs (>99%), and Magnesium Chloride. Simply add primers, template, and water to successfully carry out primer extension and other molecular biology applications. Master Mixes offer convenience and reproducibility as reactions can be set up with less pipetting steps. The number of reactions is based on using 25µl of the master mix for a final reaction volume of 50µl.

This Apex 2X Taq Master Mix, Clear, with a final concentration of 1.5mM MgCl2, is optimized with a buffer that promotes robust amplification, high yield, and high specificity. The mix is designed for specific PCR results, just requiring the addition of template, primers, and water, significantly reducing set-up time and minimizing the risk of contamination.

The mix contains Apex's state-of-the-art thermostable recombinant DNA Polymerase, which reliably processes up to 5kb with high product yield. It is suitable for standard PCR applications, screening, and high throughput testing, exhibiting 5' to 3' exonuclease activity and leaving a 3'dA overhang, which is convenient for direct T-A cloning.

The multiple 1.25ml aliquot packaging prevents repetitive freeze-thaw cycles, and the mix is also stable when refrigerated (4ºC) for at least 6 months without risk. However, as a temperature-sensitive item, it must be stored at -20°C and shipped via overnight dry ice.
